The Good News

Today we are going back to basics. Followers of Jesus have been given a message to spread the Gospel. That message is the good news that God has provided a connection between you and Him through Jesus! The sermon is given by Steven Lucas and the Scripture is taken from the Gospel of John chapter 3.

C4 - Core

Speaking from 1 Corinthians 9:24-27, Steven Lucas emphasizes the importance of every Christian "running the race," which is the Christian life of service, knowing it will reap an eternal reward. 

C3 - Connect

Aaron Kaeble brings another message in the C4 Series concerning the importance of making close connections within the body of Christ. The Scripture is taken from Ecclesiastes 4:7-12.

C2 - Crowd

Aaron Kaeble delivers this sermon from John 1:10-14 that speaks of God being full of truth and grace, which should be openly displayed by us in equal measure as His followers. *(please note that a very brief section of the sermon was deleted due to recording problems at the 25 minute mark)

C1 - Community

Steven Lucas discusses our responsibility to make Christ known in and around our community. The Scripture is taken from Mark 2:1-12. *(We apologize for the overall low volume throughout the sermon)

Preaching from Matthew 28, Steven Lucas points out that Jesus commanded ALL of His followers, not just those that are "gifted" in evangelism, to go and make disciples by His designated authority to the Church.

Aaron Kaeble challenges us to examine whether there are any "high places" in our lives that need to be taken down and whether God is who we truly value above all else. The Scripture is taken from 1 Kings 8:59-61 and 1 Kings 11:1-6, 9.

Continuing the theme of the church's spiritual playlist, Steven Lucas discusses Track 2, which is that Jesus' work in you is not over and that Jesus' work through you is not over. He explains these truths based on Philippians 1 and Acts 16.

Just as we make personal music playlists comprised of songs we prefer to hear above other music, Steven Lucas explains how we should also have a playlist of spiritual truths that we constantly bring to remembrance above all the noise that competes for our attention. The first track of this spiritual playlist, taken from Psalm 46, is that God is God and is sovereign in all circumstances.
